My writing career began in 1986 when I published my first novel, "Chester the Cat," in a 5x7 notebook in my bedroom. Even at age 10, I knew I had a passion for the pen. Although "Chester" never made its way to the bestseller list, I did go on to bigger and brighter things. Like being editor-in-chief of my high school yearbook. (I even went to yearbook camp...twice.)

After graduating from Cal State Fullerton's Communications/Advertising program, I slid right into a junior copywriter job at Grey Direct West. It was love at first write. All these years later, I still get energized concepting direct mail and crafting online ad copy.

When I'm not working, I blog here, indulge my wicked craft skills here, hike, garden, hang out with my chickens, and help my aspiring winemaker husband tackle home renovation projects.

I'm a stickler for details, a quick study, a team player, and a word nerd.

All the things a great copywriter should be.
